First physical meeting of the year

Västerås, Sweden, 6-7 February 2020

The project’s first physical meeting of the year took place at the premises of Mälardalen University, in Västerås. The aim of this event was to discuss the current status of the project regarding its main objectives, at the completion of the first four months of its life cycle.

This 2-day meeting covered various technical discussions and findings on the suitability of state-of-the-art technologies, for the small commuter aircraft of the future. Updates on the deliverables and first results based on assessments performed for the hybrid electric architectures were further analysed. Moreover, at this very beginning of the project, issues related to open-access to scientific information and details of publicly accessible datasets were addressed.

The process of innovation has been well underway and the HECARRUS consortium is working hard to ensure that the small aircraft of the future meets the global environmental goals.
